It was an unusal Opening Day for the New York GAA on Sunday as three senior football championships games took center stage at Gaelic Park in the Bronx.
Normally at this early stage of the season things get off to slow start with various cup action but from the get-go yesterday the NY senior football grade was in the spotlight.
Last year’s 2012 NY Senior Football champions Leitrim were in action and they didn’t have things all their own way.
