One of the biggest ever Opening Day’s of the New York GAA season get’s underway this weekend as all eight senior football teams see 2013 NY Championship action at Gaelic Park this Sunday April 14th.

Following new GAA rules, and similar to the London scenario, NY players who want to be eligible for New York’s Connacht Football Championship Quarter Final opener in May, must first play in their local championship.

To look ahead to this year’s season in New York, GaelicSportsCast spoke over the weekend with new NY GAA PRO Ira Goldman.
