# 443 Great Asian Games for Singapore GAA

One of the biggest events in the World GAA Calendar took place in Malaysia last weekend when the 17th Asian Gaelic Games got underway at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort in Kuala Lumper.

Local GAA club Orange Eire was hosting the annual competition for the very first in what was one of the biggest ever tournaments with almost 900 players and over 55 teams from throughout northern and southern Asia and the Gulf region.

In the men’s football championship, holders Hong Kong were looking to regain their title while in the ladies premier event Singapore Lions were looking for a magnificent four in a row.

Here to give us a full rundown on all competitions is Asia GAA & Gulf Board Chairman Paraic McGrath.
