After Sunday’s games, the Warwickshire GAA Mens Senior Football League saw no change to the top of the table at this the halfway stage of this year’s competition.

Front runners Sean McDermotts continued their winning ways with an easy win over third from last, Naomh Padraig in Birmingham, but in the first senior game at Pairc na hEireann, it was a much different affair as John Mitchels and Four Masters could not be separated with the game ending in a draw.

In the third senior football tie on Sunday, this time in Wolverhampton, second place St. Barnabas was pushed all the way by St. Mary’s with just two points separating the sides at the final whistle.

In Coventry, the fourth and final game was a battle for the third place postion in the league. This turned out to be a comprehensive victor for Roger Casements over Erin-Go-Bragh, with the former advancing to third and Erin’ slipping to fourth a point adrift.

In the Warwickshire Intermediate Football league meanwhile, there were wins for Rugby and St. Chads, while Sons of Erin and St. Josephs had Walkovers in their games. Sons of Erin now take sole ownership at the top of the table.
