Gaelic Sports clubs continue to spring up across the world be it in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
The popularity of the once indigenous sports is spreading beyond Irish cultural boundaries with one of the newer clubs formed in the middle of the Indian and Pacific oceans on the island wilderness of Tasmania.
The Tasmanian Gaelic Football and Hurling Association began life in 2007 on the island’s capital of Hobart and ever since has been building up a home grown culture of Gaelic Sports that sees a growing base of almost all local players.
