#300 Europe’s proud moment in Limerick

It was both a historic and proud moment for Overseas GAA when for the first time ever one of their own, European GAA, got to showcase organization and talent when the final round of this year’s Pan European Gaelic Football Championship was held recently in Ireland at UL and the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick City.

The tournament took place in Limerick as part of the city’s European City of Sport designation and was a source of immense pride for both the European GAA administration and players, many of whom had never kicked a ball in Ireland before.

With 26 teams in action from all across the Continent in the mens and ladies championship, as well as the mens shield, the standard was very competitive and the tournament turned out to be a great success.

Here to look back on the competition with GaelicSportsCast is European GAA Secretary, Tony Bass.
