The All Ireland Ladies Junior Football Final replay ended in disappointment for the ladies from New York yesterday at Croke Park, as Wicklow proved a bridge too far for a very determined and never say die Big Apple outfit.
It was a great trial of the New York ladies to be there at all as this was their third trip in six weeks across the Atlantic for the All Ireland series and the anguish felt by the team at the final whistle showed how much the competition meant to them.
