The Asian GAA season gets underway over the weekend, when we have the first of the four Asia GAA major’s of the year, the All-China Gaelic Games.
The China Games return to that fabulous metropolis of Shanghai for the first time in 4 years where clubs from all over this vast country will descend on the new Shanghai Rugby Club at Waigaoqiao for a feast of mens and ladies Gaelic football this Saturday, April 30.
The local Gaelic football club, the Saints and Sirens play host to this 9th edition of the All China Games where 10 teams will be in action in the men’s competitions and 7 in the ladies.
The men’s side will be broken into Cup, Plate and Bowl competitions with reigning champions Hong Kong favourites to hold on to the premier Cup event, while in the ladies, champions Shanghai will be going for a three-in-a- row.
Teams will be travelling from Beijing, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Suzhou and Dalian, so marking this tournament as one of the largest regional competitions in Asia.
