#205 Goals hamper London hopes

London hurlers travelled to Newbridge in County Kildare, Sunday, to take on the home side in this important Round 4 clash in Division 3 A of the Allianz Hurling League.
Lying in third place in the division after their recent first defeat of the campaign to table-toppers Wicklow, London was looking for a win to see them with any chance of making the final.
After a close opening period with nothing between the sides, a Kildare goal just before the half time whistle was a body blow for the Londoners. However, they came out fighting in the second half but an easy goal set them back once more and try as they might, they just could not get back on terms. Final score Kildare [22] 2-16 London [18] 1-15.
All is not lost though as a three point win against 2nd place Derry in the last round in two weeks time, will see London into the final.
Meanwhile, the footballers lying second from the bottom of Division 4, had a rough time of it against Clare in Cusack Park when squarely beaten by [25] 5-10 to [4] 0-04.
Here to tell us about the weekend games is London GAA Chairman, Tommy Harrell.
