This year’s British GAA Universities Football Championships gets underway in Birmingham today where over the next three days some 40 teams will battle it out for honours in the divisional grades.
Napier University of Edinburgh will be looking to defend their title in the 8 team premier Division 1 but last year’s finalists Liverpool Hope, along with neighbours John Moores, and, St Mary’s of London will also be looking to claim UK college top spot.
In Division 2, there are 12 teams and the visiting mixed collegiate team from New York will be wanting to make good on their impressive performance last year while in Division 3, an incredible 20 teams will be in action and French side, Rennes University will also be looking for silverware.
