# 185 ‘Thriller Wednesday’ in Wellington

Expats and Kiwi Gaelic football followers in Wellington, New Zealand were treated to one of the best displays of football yet seen in the mixed sevens tournament format last night as of the six games played three of them ended in one point wins for the victors.
Absolutely outstanding was the verdict by Wellington’s GAA President, Donal Kavanagh on the quality of fare with last minutes scores, excellent player shows and heroic underdog performances making it a memorable night for football in the city.
With one round left before the finals and things tightening even more at the top in both groups after Wednesday, next week’s games promise to be even more exciting. The evening also threw up its fair share of surprises and Donal takes us through all the action.
