Round 4 of the Mixed Gaelic Football Sevens last night in Wellington, NZ, produced another fine exhibition of football at Galloway Park . Going into this second last round of the competition before the semi finals and finals prior to Christmas, Flannagans Flyers in Group A, led the way. However, last evening saw their closest rivals Kelly’s Knights go top of the group with an impressive six point win over the ‘Flyers. While the ‘Knights lead the group, it’s still all very close at the top as Malone FC and Marist Muscle Farm, who drew on Wednesday, and The Garage (who won), all lie next on 10 points each.  All still have a chance of winning that vital second place qualifying spot. In Group B meanwhile, unbeaten Welly’s Wellies solidified their position at the top when winning both of their games, though the Monster Munchers pushed them all the way in the second game.  Battling for the second spot here will be champion’s Clonbony, T Shirt Time and the ‘Munchers. Here to tell us about last night’s games is Wellington GAA, President, Donal Kavanagh.
