#172 ‘Flyers and ‘Wellies lead way in Wellington

Despite the windy conditions last night in Wellington, NZ, Round 3 of this year’s Mixed Gaelic Football Sevens went off without a hitch with another exciting evening of football.  In Group A, we saw the game of the night between The Garage and Kelly’s Knights. The match produced some fine football throughout with the pair having to settle for a draw in the end. However it was Flannagan’s Flyers, with two wins on the night, who caught the eye and they now move top of the group. In Pool B, Welly’s Wellies continue to impress when trumping last year’s champions, Clonbony Abu. The win sees the Welly’s go four points clear of their nearest rivals. Here to tell us about the action from last evening’s 8 game schedule is Wellington GAA President, Donal Kavanagh.
