#171 Big crowds for ‘Seven’s Rd 2

On another terrific evening big crowds gathered last night for Round 2 of this year’s Gaelic Mixed Sevens at Galloway Park in Wellington, NZ. Similar to last week’s action some cracking matches took place at Wednesday’s eight game schedule.
Shock of the night saw Group A leader’s Marist’s Muscle Farm come a cropper at the hands of Kelly’s Knights. The ‘Knights now share pole position with their opponents while Malone FC, who took one of their two game schedule, also move joint top. In Group B meanwhile, champions Clonbony Abu had a comfortable win over The Frances Hankeys, but it was the suitably named, Welly’s Wellies who caught the eye when lashing nine goals past Luke Skywalkers and so both winners now move top of the group. Here to tell us about the action from Rd 2 is Wellington GAA President, Donal Kavanagh.
