Will there be more celebrations for Birmingham's Sean McDermott's when they take on St Peters of Lancashire, Sunday week in the All Britain Football Championship final? (Photo courtesy of Sean McDermott's GFC, Facebook).
As the club season winds down across the UK, last Sunday saw the principal remaining games down for decision – the semi finals of this year’s All Britain Gaelic Football Championship. In Manchester, Sean McDermott’s, who had recently claimed their 5th Warwickshire Senior championship in a row, were up against All Britain holders Dunedin Connolly’s of Edinburgh, Scotland. The Birmingham lads overcame the odds to run out 5 point winners on a scoreline of 4-07 (19) to 1-11 (14) while at Pairc na hEireann, Birmingham, St Peters of Lancashire beat London intermediate champions Moindearg by 1-08 (11) to 1-05 (8). Here to fill us in on the Birmingham game and all the results from last weekend is Warwicskhire GAA PRO, George McGuigan.
