Munich in Germany is the first port of call for this year’s 2010 Pan European Football Championships which start tomorrow Saturday. Round 1 will see five teams Guernsey, Belgium A, Paris, Luxembourg and last year’s European champions, The Hague, all hoping to get a good start before the championships move on to Budapest in October before ending at Maastricht on November 6. There will also be plenty of action in the Mens Shield competition with another five teams hitting the turf for this segement of the tournament, while also, the ladies will have their say when newcomers the Viking Gaels, along with Belgium, Paris, Maastricht/Holland and hosts Munich gather to do battle in the 5th round of the European Ladies Senior Football Championship. To find out the top teams going into this year’s first round, GaelicSportsCast spoke to European County Board official Mike Cryan as well former Vice Chairman of Paris Gaels and Gael’s footballer, Darren Lovely.
