#133 Boston Galway hurlers into final

Galway, one of the oldest clubs in Boston, sprang somewhat of a surprise in the senior hurling championship semi final last weekend when comprehensively beating the more fancied Wexford at Canton. Galway will now take on Tipperary in the final on Sunday. Meanwhile in mens football, favourites Aidan McAnespies had a comfortable win over Armagh Notre Dame, who found themselves in the semi final after an objection, in their loss to Shannon Blues, awarded them the points and third place position. This meant that Donegal and St Christopher’s in joint fourth spot had to playoff and it was Donegal who came out on top in that one on Sunday. Donegal are due to play Wolfe Tones in the second semi final tonight Wednesday in Canton. To tell us about the games and the results of the Intermediate and Junior semi finals in both hurling and football, we spoke earlier to GAA reporter Rory O’Donnell from New Hampshire.
