#122 – London championships heating up

Parnells down by seven points at one stage in their game with Neasden Gaels, came back to grab a draw in the London senior football championship at Rusilip on Sunday. (Photo courtesy of Parnells GFC).

The London GAA Championships are heating up nicely with things oh so close at the top of both the senior football and  hurling tables. At Ruislip on Sunday we saw the runners up of the last two years Neasden Gaels look as if they were going to pull away from Parnells, but the latter came back to grab a draw and a point, to leave both on top of Group 1 on 3 points apiece with one round left to play. There was a fantastic game of hurling between Robert Emmetts and Fr Muphys. It was end to end stuff but it was ‘Emmetts who prevailed in the end by three. In the hurling table with two rounds left there are 4 teams tied on 4 points – Robert Emmetts, Fr Murphys, Kilburn Gaels, and Sean Treacys.
To tell us about the games and the rest of the fixtures is London GAA Chairman, Tommy Harrell.
