In ladies senior football on Sunday in Canton, MA, reigning champion’s Tir na nOg once more outshone rivals,  Boston Shamrocks to take their second ladies Boston Northeast Championship title.  The holders led the series by 2-1 going into the game and a win would see them retain their crown. Tir na nOg led by 8 at the break and though a never say die ‘Shamrocks brought it back to a 5 point deficit in the second half, Tir’ pushed on again with a late flourish for a comfortable and deserving win. Meanwhile in mens senior football, with just one more round to play, last year’s runners-up Shannon Blues saw their hopes of making the playoffs evaporate when surprised by Galway. In senior hurling, Fr Tom’s really needed a win for a chance to make the semis yet still maintain some measure of hope as they claimed a point with a draw against Boston Wexford. Here to tell us about the games is Boston GAA reporter, Rory O’Donnell.
