#117 Playoff fever grips Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Hurling Playoffs have arrived as last Sunday at Brown Deer Park saw the last and final round of the Milwaukee Hurling Club League regular season. Of the ten teams in this competition two did not make it through to the Playoffs this year – Brocach and Ale House – these two will now battle it out for the MHC Shield. Brocach though went down fighting as they overcame a dogged Slim’s by four points in a very exciting contest but it was their overall record that cost. The Irish Pub meanwhile, needed to beat McBob’s to make the ‘Playoff’s and they managed to do just but nearly came a cropper when after building up a huge 15 point lead at the break, they allowed McBob’s back into the game and after falling behind by two points nearing the end, they needed a last minute goal to stave off a nightmare defeat. To tell us about those games is MHC’s, Karen Fink.
