The suburbs of St Louis, Missouri was the place to be for all Gaelic sports enthusiasts over the weekend as the annual St Louis Gaelic Sports Festival organised by the St Louis GAC put on a great show attracting teams from four states. In what was regarded as the best tournament yet, teams from Illinois, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Indianapolis, joined their hosts in Missouri in having a full day of hurling, Gaelic football and Camogie (ladies hurling). Competition saw Indy overturn last years winners St Louis in the hurling, however, the hosts regained the football crown while St Mary’s from Chicago took Camogie honours once again. GaelicSportsCast joined-in immediately after the tournament’s conclusion where St Louis GAC President, Brian Spencer recounted the day’s events and later passed the mobile around to other participants for their reaction.
