The Ulster Hurling Semi Final between London v Down due to be played next Sunday June 13 in Casement, has been called off. GaelicSportCast reported last evening that London GAA was not prepared to play the game on account of it following a day after London’s Saturday’s Rd 2 Nicky Rackard clash with Armagh in Crossmaglen. Yesterday, the Ulster GAA Council, though earlier asked by London GAA to defer the hurling semi final fixture, was adament that the game would go ahead as scheduled on Sunday, however, in a statement today they said that “Arising from communication received from Londáin, the Ulster Senior Hurling Semi Final scheduled for Sunday 13 June has been cancelled. ” (RTE).
It isn’t clear if and when a rescheduled fixture will be played.
