#71 GAA officialdom may cost London hurlers dearly

London GAA has asked for a deferral of one of two fixtures which involves their hurlers this weekend.  As it stands, London hurlers are down to play a Rd 2 Nicky Rackard game against Armagh in Crossmaglen this Saturday June 12, however, they are also scheduled to play Down in the Ulster Hurling Championship Semi Final in Casement Park, the following day Sunday. If one or other fixture is not deferred to a later date, then you may see London having to pull out of their first ever appearance in an Ulster hurling semi final. London GAA, Chairman Tommy Harrell, spoke of London hurlers disappointment if a suitable solution is not forthcoming from either Croke Park or the Ulster Council.
As of this evening Wednesday, both camps were going ahead with the fixtures as is for the weekend. And, unless a solution can be found, London have decided to pull out of the Ulster semi-final clash with Down.
