The rivalry between Tipperary and Fr Tom Burkes in Boston hurling circles is the stuff of legend. Just a few weeks back both teams traveled to New York to battle the best the Big Apple could muster in a seven a-side tournament. They both reached the final with Tipp claiming first blood for the new season. They went at it again on Sunday in Canton and this time the stakes were higher: the prize – the Sheehan Cup. ‘Toms looked to have done enough with a comfortable lead in the second half but a goal blitz in the final quarter by Tipp saw the blue and gold edge out their great rivals by a single point. In Gaelic Football,  Boston and North American champions, St Christophers had their first outing of the 2010 championship, but their opponents  Armagh Notre Dame, with a game already under their belts, proved that bit sharper. To tell us about both games and the weekend’s action is Boston GAA reporter, Rory O’Donnell.
