#63 More joy for Rebels as Cork take title in New York

It was a great weekend to be a Rebel as not only did Cork rule over Tipp in the hurling at home, they also had plenty to celebrate about   stateside as they won the Ned Devine Cup in New York . This was the first time since 1955 that the Rebels took a New York mens football title and they did it on Sunday in Gaelic Park by beating Leitrim, who themsleves had been gunning for a three in a row in this particular competition.  In the Intermediate John Brady Cup final, favourites Armagh were too strong for Dublin while Cavan were best in the Ladies Football Mattie Farrelly 7’s Cup.
Reporting on all the action is Eugene Kyne from the ‘Big Apple’.
