#61 ‘Emmetts edge Kilburn in London

In the first round of Division 1 Hurling action from Ruislip in London on Sunday, last year’s county finalists, Robert Emmetts edged out rivals Kilburn Gaels by 3-7 (16) to 1-12 (15).  Kilburn had the majority of the play in the seond half but lack of accuracy in front of the posts let them down badly. Meanwhile, this week brought something of a reality check for intermediate squad Bros Pearse, who after the highs of winning the Ronan Cup last weekend, came crashing back to earth a week later when senior team Fr Murphy’s showed them no mercy.
Here to tell us all about both games and London footballers chances against Roscommon on Sunday is London GAA Chairman, Tommy Harrell.
