In what turned out to be the match of the day in Gaelic Park in the Bronx last Sunday, Cavan in their mens senior football game looked home and hosed two points to the good with minutes remaining but NY champion’s Down in the last kick of the game found the net to break New York Breffni hearts. In the other senior game, Cork in their win over Donegal made life difficult for themseleves while in Intermediate football NY Rangers and Astoria Gaels recorded easy wins.
