One of the oldest clubs in Auckland, New Zealand, Harps Gaelic Football Club since its foundation in 1986, has maintained its pioneering spirit right though to the present day. In the past number of years, the club has been boosted by an increase in player numbers following the recent influx of Irish immigrants to the city. However as with other clubs in Auckland, player increase is often negated by a lack of volunteers to take on the responsibility of managing and maintaining a club. Talking about these issues to GaelicSportsCast is Harps GFC Chairman, Mick O’Malley and PRO, Liam O’Keefe.

Very good to hear about the GAA in Auckland with Mick and Liam promoting and enhancing our Games in a beautiful country. Volunteers are the heart of any of our 2600 worldwide clubs in our Association that beat loud & proud! Slainte!
