Happy smiles on the faces of the Robert Gordon University team, after winning their first British Universities Championship.
Even though the snowy conditions early Sunday morning last in Manchester at the Ladies British Universities Football Championship Tournament, saw the postponement of the Division Two Final between, Northumbria and Queen Margret Universitiy, the big game in the Division One final went ahead and saw Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, take their very first title when proving too strong for St Mary’s University, London. In the Division Three Final on Saturday, it turned out to be a local derby as two Manchester colleges contested for honours with Manchester Metropolitan University winning out in a tight affair.
