It promises to be an exciting weekend of Gaelic games in the Middle East region as the Gulf Gaelic Games throws-in today Friday Feb 12, in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Hosted by the Dubai Celts GAA Club, this year marks the fourth consecutive Gulf Games where teams from Singapore, Zimbabwe, UK and the Middle East will be competing for honours in the 7’s tournament.
Some 600 players are participating in the two-day tournament which is sponsored by Dubai Duty Free, and will feature Gaelic Football, Hurling, Ladies Football, Camogie as well as youth football and a local schools hurling exhibition at the state of the art Emirates 7s Sports complex.
